Brandon T. Truscott earned his BA in studio art with an emphasis in graphic design from Humboldt State University, a Master’s of Education with an emphasis in cross-cultural teaching from National University, and a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco Art Institute with an emphasis in Design + Technology. As an in-house graphic designer in California he designed for an international wholesale company with large corporate accounts such as Nordstrom and Walmart. He was employed by The Glenn Group advertising agency in Las Vegas, Nevada as an intern, and freelanced on a variety of projects such as Brand Identity, Catalog, Display, Package and Web design. As an exhibiting artist in multiple mediums he has shown paintings in The Luggage Store Gallery on Market Street in San Francisco, sculptural installation at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery, and as winner of Best of Photography at the Morris Graves Museum of Art in Eureka, CA. He was the Artist Book Contest winner at the Anne Bremer Memorial Library in San Francisco, CA for a hand-made limited edition book of drawings. His artwork has been reviewed by critics of the Times-Standard, Art Business, San Francisco Chronicle, and New York Times. Brandon is currently Chair of the Visual Arts Department at Brigham Young University – Hawaii, an Assistant Professor of Art and Design, and the President & Founder of Oibbio Books.
