Originally from Urbana, Illinois, Spencer McNeil graduated from Knox College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sculpture. Although Spencer's focus in the studio was on furniture, his portfolio includes ceramics, print, and works on paper as well. His 2010 exhibition, Object, or Something Like It—a partnership with Kaylin Maanum—consisted of a collection of furniture constructed of found materials as well as Plexiglas, cardboard, cement, rubber, wood, and steel.

Winner of the Albert G. Young Best in Show Award, and the Bender Prize in Sculpture, Spencer also competed in baseball and football at Knox College.

Spencer resides in Washington, DC. He is currently a designer at renowned Georgetown architecture firm Studio Santalla. Read Less
