Inside Design
I am a graphic designer at large. When I'm not working with my husband on our own projects, I freelance for a select group of clients that provide exposure to a diverse range of professional industries.
Outside of Design
I enjoy making paper, binding books, crocheting, and sewing. I love the taste of Coca-Cola, but refuse to drink it. My four dogs are like my kids, but I'm not one of those crazy people who think they actually are my kids.

Good coffee always makes me smile.

I was raised in an artistic family who always pushed toward the highest quality of their craft. Naturally, trying to be different among a group of fine artists, I gravitated toward computers at an early age. By the time I was 8, I was designing monthly newsletters for my mother's businesses. Growing up I wanted to be everything from a teacher, to an architect, to an interior designer, to being a writer and new media technologies have given me an outlet to do all of that.

My first real graphic design job was when I was 16. I put out on my personal website (or "homepage" as we used to call it before they were known as blogs) that I was interested in practicing my skills for other people. I was homeschooled at that time and had no problem working a day job while I completed high school on my own schedule. The freedom of my days and my general desire to stay busy helped me fall into a world where before the age of 18, I had been a subcontractor on projects for companies like AT&T, Diet Coke, and Doubleclick.

Since then, I've been a mercenary for a wide variety of clients in many different industries. The majority of which were subcontracting their design work out to me. I've created persuasive marketing campaigns and branding for individuals, home businesses, small businesses, and large corporations. My work ranges from printed materials to web site and mobile application development.

In my life, I've also managed a bakery, worked as a barista, and managed low-income senior apartments. The call of graphic design always wooed me back. I enjoy the way words flow across a page or a screen and get giddy at good design.
