Samantha Barnes
Despite an upbringing in the much-drier Montgomery, Alabama, Sam has always been a Louisiana native at heart with Irish Cajun blood and a grandiose love of food. Sam earned an BFA from Nicholls State University, and then directed her passion toward beautiful New Orleans. As a designer and developer, Sam seeks beautiful solutions using creative and entrepreneurial thinking with her quick mind and zealous appetite for life.
She currently serves the creative community as President of the New Orleans chapter of AIGA after a two year term as Secretary and Project Manager.
A bonafide nerd through and through, Sam is a proud former Starbucks barista, gamer, rabid technophile, the head chef in her family, and a writer. She loves (almost) all things sci-fi and is a veritable sponge and lifelong student. You can find this intense, loud, and curious individual always looking to engage people. She is the proud owner of a rescue puppy and is a new mom to a baby girl, Evelyn.

HTML, CSS3, Coda, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, OmniOutliner, Basecamp, Microsoft Office, all Windows operating systems and Apple operating systems. Basic Windows desktop hardware and technical assembly. Experienced iOS and iPhone knowledge. Digital photography, sewn bookbindings, illustration, web design and development, content management systems, Wordpress, familiar with responsive design.

- helped serve and sell Strawberry Lemonade for Cafe Reconcile' during Jazz Fest
- cleaned up and helped with the upkeep of local cemeteries with Save Our Cemeteries
- served and sold drinks at French Quarter Festival, a free and open festival
