MWD is the studio of Marian Williams, a Chicago based graphic designer. With a background in design, printmaking and illustration and over 10 years of experience in the advertising industry, Marian brings a high level of concept and craftsmanship to her work.

Marian believes in Good Design. Design that comes from understanding her clients needs and finding relevant solutions that make the people say “Hey!” She understands that design is important, and more importantly good design takes time. Sure, sometimes a good idea comes after the first try. But largely, it comes from that age old process of research, discovery, creation, analysis and revision.

Marian has experience branding multi-national corporations and the deli down the street. She enjoys the thrill of agency campaign development, as well as the solitude of laying out multi-page documents in the middle of the night. She’s worked alone, worked in teams, and created teams.
