Few things in life are more rewarding than the creation of something perceivable. Constructing an object, enabling life, plowing a field - all have visible and perceivable consequence and repay me with a sense of happiness.

Graphic design is my outlet for creation; it is my outlet for emotional and intellectual release. The act of creating an item for pure aesthetic value satisfies me in the same way creating a logo for a client might - in each instance of design, I am creating an object of purpose. Perhaps it is through this purpose in the object that I find my comfort - an item created for purpose has a reason for existence, a mission. In a sense, design becomes a sort of therapy or an act of my very being when done in the right context.

Just as all people, including myself, seek some level of acceptance, so too do I seek to gain a level of acceptance and purpose for my design. Because of this my designs feel alive and unique, and drive me to create effective and meaningful designs. Graphic design as a discipline is my companion and my channel to others, it is what I use to express my heart and mind.
