My name is Lauren. I’m a designer and a college student. As a designer, I love to find solutions to problems and come up with new ideas. As a student, I’m always learning new things. Currently, I am focused on learning more about graphic design and business, which helps give me a balance between analytics and creativity.

My portfolio includes print design, websites, and packaging so far, but I love working on new things. For me, the best part about design is taking ideas and making them a reality. Design is about more than how things look; it’s about getting an idea across to the right people.

In addition to designing and studying, I keep busy by staying involved in UW-Whitewater’s AIGA Chapter and creating marketing materials at a construction company, both of which involve further designing and studying. I have more fun being busy than running out of things to do, so I have developed great time management and multitasking skills to give me the ability to do everything on my list, while still having time for fun. My fun time involves lots of music, the making (and eating) of food, reading books or watching movies, friends, and some off-key singing.
