I am a non-graduating senior at Iowa State University. I am a double major in graphic design and advertising.

I am currently an undergraduate research assistant at Iowa State University at the College of Design. I am involved with a group called Design Information Research Group dedicated to improving the lives of people through the application of design research from the diverse areas such as experience design, interior design, interface and web design, wayfinding design, information design and human interaction design. DIRG is involved with providing design research, human subject testing, ethnographic research, design prototyping and information design solutions.

I am eager to learn as much as I can about the entire field as I can soak in while at school. When I am not attending school in Ames, I live in Council Bluffs, Iowa with my family where I work as a cake decorator. I am also working on a few volunteer and freelance design projects. I love to learn about art history, photography and everything design related. I am involved in GDSA, was a member of the Cantamus choir for 3 years and made the dean's list fall 2010, spring 2011 and fall 2011, and recently joined the UHURU magazine design team.

This past summer I was a graphic design/advertising intern at a corporate office in Des Moines where I worked on individual projects as well as with a group. Next summer I will be looking for another internship.
