Hello.
I am Jillian Marsala
(like the Italian dish?..yes.)

I'm a Chicago based twenty years (b)old designer, working to achieve my Bachelors Degree at the Illinois Institute of Art Schaumburg. In December of 2013 I will be graduating and cannot wait! I am a problem solver and creative solution extraordinaire. I specialize in Illustration and Print Design but easily adapt to other forms.

Through my work I strive to turn heads for all of the right reasons. I believe that good design should not only grab the viewer's attention, but hold it there. I am constantly growing as a designer by challenging myself all-awhile reaching new goals and surpassing old limitations. When not designing I am either outdoors, organizing people's closets, or daydreaming of my future life in NYC.

As a child growing up it was evident to everyone around me what my calling was. From the meticulous ways I would arrange my Barbie dollhouses, to my keen sense for detail, it was certain that art was in my cards and in my genes as well. My mother was an artist who went on to receive her Masters Degree in Social Work from The University of Chicago. My father is a Jazz musician who received his Bachelors Degree in Music from the Manhattan School of Music. It's finally my turn to pursue my dreams. I love what I do and hope that you will too!
