This project was a four month rebrand of an environmentally sustainable company. Intensive research and a differential study were employed to enhance the sustainable aspects of the company’s brand.
Old ecoATM Logo
ecoATM is a company that uses a vending machine to recycle consumer electronic devices to the highest standards. The machine vends the user money for their old devices.
After extensive research I completed a differential study to compare ecoATM's perception of its identity with that of consumers. I found that the company needed to expand their brand presence nationally.
My proposed lettermark retains the use of an acronym from the original logo but uses it to emphasise the experience of using an ecoATM. the acronym references the three "R's" of recycling but repurposes them as "recycle", "redeem", and "rewards", and changes the company and machine name to R3M.
The R3M machine is an exciting technological experience. Its bright attractive colors and bold typography help alert consumers to the machines presence, and instill a sense of imprtance and energy in the user, all the while helping the expanding brand establish a strong presence amongst similar machines.
The bright colors from the machines carry over to the business system. The business card employs a slightly angled die cut to imply the quickness and convenience of using an R3M machine.
