Zidisha is an American-based nonprofit organization that lets people meet African entrepreneurs with small businesses and big ambitions. They verify the entrepreneurs' credit history, then let people lend to them at a mutually agreeable interest rate, which opens up the opportunity for borrowers to make their vision a reality.
The company’s names is Swahili for “grow” or “expand.” The logo draws on Zidisha’s meaning by the depiction of a tree. The tree is made up of orange dots that represent the lenders and borrowers which are connected through black lines that show the way the two help and benefit each other. The colors of the logo are green, orange, and black which represent growth and wealth, high rank, and wisdom respectively.
