The project was to design an invitation that is simultaneously a mailer for an event. There was no parameters for this assignment, thus we were able to design with complete creative freedom.
Inspired by the design of Disney’s Epcot theme park, I created a yearly event known as “World Day at Central Park”. New York City is by far one of the most diverse cities in the nation thus I wanted to celebrate the beauty of different cultures by creating this event. “World Day at Central Park” is designed for people to become familiar with different countries from around the world by enjoying the food and entertainment, as well as having the opportunity to learn a brief history of many countries. If you would like to visit any country, then travel agents are available on-site for more information. The invitation comes in an inspired lunch box travel kit which is includes a compass in case you lose your way, water for your thirsty trip, and a trail mix bar as a healthy snack. The invitation also includes a map which has an overview of central park and is divided into sections representing each continent in the world.
