This idea of “Wish You Were Here” is a very real and tangible condition that can affect anyone at any time. It can describe that feeling of joyous isolation and simultaneous yearning for fellowship from a loved one during something great. Typically the condition becomes more prevalent during the weekends, summer, and nighttime.

  • In my senior work series “Wish You Were Here,” I capture moments that I have experienced using the photographic medium and link them with a state of being that has become constant in my life; wishing “you” were here. Visually capturing the moment and emotion I felt and being able to pass on this essence to others is fascinating to me. “Wish You Were Here” is a platform that allows one to connect a fleeting moment of joy or sorrow with anyone or someone in particular.
