Creative Director and Curator of Babeland's Vintage Vibrator Museum. Worked closely with in-house Graphic Designer to concept and coordinate the building of the museum website. Oversaw the photography and documentation of the collection. Generated article content and coordinated other writers, including Dr. Rachel Maines who is a leading expert in the history of vibrators.
Left and right: Individual profile pages for vibrators within the museum's collection. Profile pages offer images, basic information, and notes/trivia about each specimen in the collection. Users are able to "flip" through the collection binder for a more explorative experience or navigate to specific vibrators via the gallery grid page.
The museum offers articles (left) on vibrator history, hysteria, and sexual politics. It also presents content that is relevant to popular culture and current events, like the trailer for the 2012 film, Hysteria (right).
Left: A slideshow of the Vintage Vibrator Museum's exhibition at ACT Seattle's production of In the Next Room: or the vibrator play. Some of the vibrators featured were pulled from the museum's web collection and others are from Babeland Seattle's in-store display of vintage vibrators.
Right: A slideshow of "modern classics" draws connections between old designs and their contemporary counterparts.
