This painting embodies the sensation of Vertigo, which writer Milan Kundera describes as "not a fear of falling, but a heady, insuperable, longing to fall." I combined images from photographs I took at the top of a New York City skyscraper and intentionally distorted the perspective to create a sense of awe combine with fear, adrenaline, and blurring of the senses.
