In order to demystify the basic training experience the team put together a series of webisodic videos highlighting soldiers who were going through basic in real time. The extension of the program also had soldiers describe their MOS (job) from a personal point of view, helping recruiters and applicants understand what they were getting into before they signed up. The strategy lives on today in TV, print and digital media.
The most popular area of the site, Basic Training, covering the personal experiences of six recruits through the nine weeks of Basic Training was awarded a Bronze Cyver Lion in 2001.
This was another excellent experience for me as a creative--traveling across the country to different bases covering Annual Training excercises for the U.S.Army and the Army Reserve.
