The University of North Texas introduced a self-enforced campus-wide smoking ban on January 1, 2013. Although many on campus welcome the change, UNT-International was concerned that some international students who smoke may not understand why UNT has banned smoking and therefore feel alienated -- especially considering that tobacco education is not standard in all countries.
This poster campaign was designed to educate international students about some of the harmful ingredients in cigarettes, in hopes of encouraging understanding among the campus community.
I was the art director and graphic designer for the project. Nat Chittamai was the photographer and Elizabeth Brito provided makeup and styling.
