For this project we were given the task of updating a classic children's book. When
browsing the kids section of Borders I noticed that the majority of new
children's books were very vibrant and busy with active illustrations,
but few had messages as important as the ones in 'The Little Prince.' I
updated the color palette and typography so it would fit in next to modern books while
still staying true to the originals childlike and naive feel by keeping the
illustrations very simple. This project was done in my first semester at
school and won me a Silver ADDY award.
