This autobiographical book was designed around the concept of gaming.
Through out my life gaming and role-playing have been very important to
me as a way to bond with family and friends. The hex shaped background
that is prominent through out the design is representative of the paper
that Dungeons and Dragons topographical maps are usually drawn on. I
designed this book as a set of cards to connect to the many card games I
play with my friends, especially a game called Munchkin. I chose this
as the model for the layout of the cards. Each cream colored card
contains a photo from one of the stages of my development, that I
duo-toned to create an aged feel. I used cream and browns to give the
whole project the appearance of old parchment paper or weathered maps.
The font San Marco gives the text a black letter look without being
unreadable, and compliments the renaissance tone.
