The Black Man & Society

The Black Man & Society is the result of an altered book project. For this project we were to combine at least two books to create a new book with a completely new meaning. I combined the text from Booker T. Washington’s Up From Slavery with photography from Ezra Stoller’s The United Nations, the architecture of the United Nations, and Duane Thomas’ Body & Soul, photography of contemporary black male celebrities, to create a book that questions the black man’s place in modern society.
