In October 2010 Oscar Mastrantuono of Bomberos Cafe & Wine Bar in Phoenix held a red carpet fundraiser for the American Cancer Society called Tango de Noche, in honor of his father who passed the year prior from cancer. The event lineup included a fashion show, tango band and dancers. With the art direction of Oscar de la Salas (Production and Creative Director), I helped create printed identity for the night, including a logo, postcards, posters, banners, and ticket stub. Keeping with the event's striking color theme of red, black, and white, I added a vintage floral pattern to communicate the feel of traditional of Latin American tango, and the fabulous and fiery ambience of Bomberos patio. So many generous people came together to donate their time and talent to make the event a success. It's amazing what can be created when you just "ask" someone to help, for a cause as great as this one.
