Implementation of wayfinding and signage standards
  • The implementation of the Toronto Subway wayfinding and signage standards for two stations in the expansion of the existing York Spadina subway line in Toronto. The two stations, which are designed by separate architects -Vaughan Corporate Centre Station by Grimshaw and York University Station by Foster & Partners-, have different degrees of station amenities and transit connections, require careful analysis for implementation of the signage. With the input of the wayfinding team- passenger routing, messaging and integration of the signage into the architectural design is being coordinated and reviewed with each architect, the client and the engineering design team.
