- In 2008, The Sportsman’s Cabinet created the not-for-profit online publication Strideaway, designing a logo and custom CMS website. The homepage reads as follows:
o b j e c t i v e : Strideaway is an online publication dedicated to and promoting the great sport of American pointing dog Field Trials. The objective is to present the voices and ideas of experienced trainers, handlers, breeders and other knowledgeable participants and enthusiasts whether they are involved with All Age or Shooting Dogs, horseback or walking trials with particular emphasis on wild bird field trials and the dogs that compete in them. We will be adding interviews, articles, stories and quotes on a regular basis and hope to provide an expanding source of information relevant to bird dog field trials.
The site has an Articles page which is updated weekly, a Contributors page with author bios and a Photo Gallery page.
Strideaway sponsored the 2009 & 2010 Armstrong-Umbel Endurance Classic for Grouse Dogs with advertising revenues and published and distributed author, Bill Allen’s book: The Unforgettables and Other True Fables.
