This was an assignment I did for Typography. I was asked to select a trilogy book series and re-design each of the three covers only using type. I chose take on the challenge of C.S. Lewis' 'Space Trilogy.'
When I was coming up with ideas for my design I knew right away that I wanted a clean and modern feel. I took in consideration the the planet that each book was based upon and incorporated a specific color to represent that planet. So for example, "Out of the Silent Planet" takes place on a planet described as Mars hence the Red-orange representing the planet on the cover.
The images used to represent the planets are actually different glyphs that used, resulting in only the use of typography for my design.
