Reality Check

This poster was created for an AIGA event through which students were given the opportunity to have their portfolios reviewed by various design professionals, so in approaching the design I decided to utilize the contrast between the two groups of participants: the students and the professionals. I accomplished this by juxtaposing typical student clothing with typical items from a professional wardrobe. Additionally, I sought to evoke the suspended state of attending students, as they are caught between the realm of academics and the workforce. To convey this concept, I placed the clothing in a surreal environment in which they hovered over the text, mimicking the forms of the typography.
