I have worked with the RAC Gallery at the Regional Arts Commission since February 2011. I provide the site wallboard and promotional postcard designs for most of their shows. Below are examples of some of my work.
This postcard design was chosen for the "Music from the heART" exhibition show curated by the Thirteen Squared. The design was hard to develop as the curators did not want any images on the card. Additionally, the type of art showcased in this show was unknown. The only information provided was that all of the works had to be developed on a 20x20 canvas (henced the squared).
This is the final wallboard design for the "Music From the heART" exhibition show.
This design was a comp design for the "Music from the heART" exhibition show.
This design was chosen for the promotional postcard of the exhibition show, "Exploring the Figure: Photographs by Jerry Levy and Stan Strembicki". Due to the prominent featuring of female nudity in the show, the postcard was designed to provide a partial view of the photograph (at least enough to intrigue the visitor) to avoid offending anyone (a concern of RAC).
This design was a comp for the "Exploring the Figure" show. Although this design was not chosen by RAC, it was recognized by AIGA.

This wallboard design was for the "A Group of Similar Beings" exhibition. All four of the designers wanted their work highlighted in the promotional postcard and site wallboard. I went with a linear grid design to showcase interesting crops of their work.
I had no idea of the work included in this show when I designed the original promotional postcard (this wallboard is an extension of that design). Therefore, I went with geometric design that required the readers to follow the lines to decipher each artist's technique and background. Critical Mass is an annual competition used to promote emerging artists within the St. Louis region.
In this design, I created a custom font out of lines and circle symbolizing the "point" within this exhibition. This project was a lot of fun.
