ENCORE
Simple poster designed for the Fort Hays State University theatre series called Encore.
The concept was inspired from an article read in the Washington Post. [ http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html ] Showing that the grey lines at the bottom is the mundane, going through the motions, until hit by Encore, where the mundane transforms into color, excitment, and entertainment.
TRUTH: AN IMPOSSIBLE QUEST.

We can try to reach truth through the media (ie. google, people, abc, msnbc) but the only truth that really exists is within ones self-a quest is impossible, because it already and soley resides within ones self.
KEEP THE ROMANCE.

In order for both the democracy and the public to be satisfied, much like in a relationship, there must be a continual romance, continual give and take. Replicating the idea of 'love coupons' this poster saterically provides the means to 'keep the romance.'

Too often, when dealing with political issues, we hold our breath and wait for the next president to come and fix the problem. We can only continue in this manner for so long. How long can you hold your breath?
JUST WHAT I ASKED FOR!
We elect presidents knowing that of the long list of things they promise few will come into fruition, but when they don't come through in all their promises, we find ourselves upset by their lies. However, we've recieved exactly what we voted for. nothing.
