Pen and ink is my favorite medium. It’s hard for an artist to lie stylistically with a pen since it records every nuance of expression. As an illustration medium it reached its height during the heyday of newspaper and pulp comic book illustration where it was easy and cheap to reproduce. While its place in the digital world seems to be unsure, I don’t think it will ever really go away; it will just become a niche for specialists and connoisseurs much like other analog pursuits.
