Numi is a company that offers organic fruit-infused tea. After about 80 sketches, I chose the logo that fit perfectly. The logo incorporates not only a giant leaf that cuts into the top of the company name, but also an N for Numi, and a lemon that represents the tea and fruit blends that Numi offers. I wanted to make the packaging stand out while still being recognizable as organic tea. The floral pattern, as well as the color on the packaging does just that.
The target market is females who are between the age of 25 and 40. The colors are naturally occurring, represent the flavors of the products, and appeal to the target market. I designed the box in a way that will reduce shipping costs and be more environmentally friendly. There is a ramp inside the box which allows the individual teabags to easily slide out of the package. That ramp is the same angle as the top of the box, which allows for more tea bags to fit and makes the top of the box stand out among competing products. This shape also allows for each box to fit onto one another, allowing more products to fit within a shipping container. I am very happy with the end result and I think it looks as great as it functions.
