NoMAD Drafting Desk / furniture design

NoMAD Drafting Desk was created in a carpentry class at New York City's School of Cooperative Technical Education, where I received carpentry certification in January 2012. As a fine artist, I wanted to design a desk that could be set up anywhere ( on a street corner, in a field, or at home ), so that one can sketch, draw, or plan at ease in any situation. The desk is made from plywood, softwoods and hardwoods, and held together with bolts.
