• I designed five annual course catalogs (cir. 100,000) for NOLS. The 2012 course catalog was a full redesign from previous catalogs. We chose to tell the stories of some of our wilderness school graduates in more detail, a significant shift from focusing solely on course descriptions and details. We decreased the page count as well as the trim size, shrinking the publication from a 128-page catalog to just 48-pages plus cover.

I served as the main designer on all layouts, accepted and organized all photo submissions, collected feedback, and managed the internal review process between 10+ individuals. I specified paper and even ordered the print job, negotiating prices between multiple printers and bid specifications. To top it off, I also checked each form on press and made sure the photographers got paid.
