Neche Collection (pronounced Ne Che) visually documents materials collected by my grandfather Neche Eugenio Hadad. A Cuban Exile of Lebanese descent, accountant, collector and sometimes thief. My grandfather greatly influenced my work as a artist/designer and passed on his obsession of printed matter and office supplies.
  • Neche Collection : NC#28
  • This print is based on items from 10.21.11-10.17.11.

This print was inspired by the Dice and my First Communion invite. First of all, the dice is part of a Cuban dice game Cubilete. I wanted to use the letterforms in some way but abstract it enough that I wan’t making a print with a giant letter J. I used the J and part of the K as my first 2 layers. The 3rd layer is taken from part of the front image of my Communion card.

Hand Screen Printed. Signed & Numbered.
