MyWorld 2015 Infographic

  • In 1990, the United Nations conceived a set of 8 goals that aimed at ending poverty by the year 2000. Thus, the Millennium Development Goals were born. As the new millennium approached, it became apparent that the goals were not going to be completed. Therefore, The UN pushed the date out to 2015. With 2015 just around the corner, a set of updated and refreshed goals needed to be created, and the UN opened up the debate to the entire world. People are allowed to vote on which goals they thought were most important to ending world poverty.
