Morningstar, Toronto

  • In 2007 Morningstar Canada relocated to a new office in downtown Toronto. The interior wayfinding, architectural graphics, and interior design concepts served as pilots for a global office redesign initiative. The theme for the graphic component involved horizontal lines of differing weights arranged in alternating modular square grids. This visual motif was a nod to the Morningstar Style Box, a stylized scatterplot graph that identifies the size and growth potential of publicly traded companies. The final images in this sequence depict the lobby installation as it was originally envisioned—a three-dimensional typographic homage to the work of the Israeli artist, Yaacov Agam.
