I was tasked with finding an award for the MilestoneAnniversary Award program. My goal was to find an award that worked in a system, pieces that could be added together to represent the achievement – within ourbudget.
Over a period of 3 months, I was shown quite a few examplesthat just didn’t fit the bill. Cubes that would take up a lot of space, starsthat looked great as a one-off, but didn’t work together as each milestone wasreached.
Prior to yet another meeting with a vendor, I did a roughsketch of an idea – angled rectangles that fit together as a series, as eachmilestone was reached.
From there, the vendor took the sketch, and with budget inmind, help to create a custom set of awards.
The idea is simple, elegant, and yet didn’t exist in themarket.
