The Mary E. Fitz University Park is a project in the works taken on by the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire's Recreation and Sport Facilities Department. Mary E. Fitz and her husband passed away 15 years ago and willed their house and 90-acre property to be used for recreational purposes only. In the University's hands, the property can be used for multiple purposes including concerts, group gatherings, organic gardening, recreational trails, and wildlife preservation. Just a couple miles from our campus, students will find it very easy to come and enjoy the outdoor wildlife that Eau Claire has to offer. This brochure is a proposal to showcase how the University would interact with this property. By keeping conservation, preservation, and recreation in mind, our mission is simple: To connect youth, families, and the community to the great outdoors.
