Each piece features its own Marquette-based theme varying between history, current events, personal views, & social ideas. Orphanage features an excerpt from the influential art critic John Ruskin’s The Seven Lamps of Architecture.
What Would You Do With Lee Hall?
The application was placed in the gallery where the public could give their input on what to do with the vacant ex-art department facilities. 115 entries were recorded over its two week stay in the gallery.
The entries are displayed in the Flash movie with XML. A random number function generates different sizes, shades of blue, animation speeds, and chooses different entries to display each time the page is loaded.
I modeled & textured the building in Cinema 4D.
