Magnolia Cafe Brand

Magnolia Café is a small high-end cafe located on Magnolia Boulevard near Seattle, Washington, which I invented for a branding case study during the summer of 2012. I began by researching cafés and coffee shops both in the Magnolia area and the greater PNW. From there, I brainstormed the needed materials for the company and began to sketch logos and packaging ideas. The logo mark plays off of the name of the neighborhood, making it easily recognizable and memorable. The flower is contained within a square in order to demonstrate stability, reliability, and quality. The clean, simple, elegant organic logo mark and type convey both the coziness and classiness of the café. The warm dark brown, ivory, and white colors amplify the message.
