Description
Kemper Museum asked us to design and create the promotional cards and banners for the MFA Thesis show for 2011. We liked the idea of using the modern "bars" mimicking the Kemper's own logo. Each bar represents one of the 24 artists who hand-picked their color choice from Pantone swatches. The MFA Satellite poster was hand silkscreened in 3 colors for our secondary show offsite in the Lemp Brewery building.

  • I worked collaboratively with fellow graduate students, Katherine McCullough and Andrea Degener, to design the postcard and banner for the graduate thesis show exhibited through the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum associated with the school. We produced the postcards as well as the banners that hung advertising the show at the Kemper and throughout WashU's campus. The original intent of the design was to mimick the Kemper logo, however the color choices were all hand-picked by the twenty-four artists themselves, best representing their personality through a color.

Katherine McCullough and I also designed the poster for the MFA satellite show held in the historic Lemp Brewery in South City in St. Louis. Each individual poster is handmade, silk screened in three colors, printed on cardboard, and were also produced as a tshirt for wearable advertisements by graduate students, Shira Berkowitz and Kristin Fleishmann.
