“The Esopus Creek is one of the Jewels of the Catskill Mountains…” This recently designed booklet and map encompass some of the most unique characteristics about the creek. History, the biodiversity, rare animals, plants, the fisheries, and more. The Lower Esopus Watershed Project fosters appreciation and stewardship of the creek to enhance water quality and function to support ecosystem health and encourage recreational activities.
