Letterpress Wedding Invitation

Marrying into a family with a heirloom printing press is any designers dream. I was able to create the design digitally and have a polymer plate made through a website called Boxcar Press. It is a lot easier than setting type by hand and you are not limited to the characters you have on hand! I ordered some delicious Crane Lettra Paper through Neenah. 

For the sake of my fingers I did not do much printing myself but I learned a lot about the rhythmic process. It is beautiful how the machine evenly spreads the ink and kisses the paper just enough to leave an impression.
