Description
The objective of this project was to design an actual, working 3-D lamp (as well as the packaging that housed it) for an existing brand that does not normally make lamps.

The brand I chose was Kohler, who are best known for faucets, shower heads, sinks,

  • Objective: To create an operating 3-D lamp as an extension of a brand that does not currently make lighting fixtures.

    Kohler is well-known for their line of bathroom fixtures and plumbing products, namely faucets. Kohler also expanded into the hospitality industry, running one of the most successful resorts by the middle of the 1990s.

    Taking into consideration the materials that Kohler most often uses in their bathroom fixtures, I designed a lighting fixture that is made out of frosted glass, metal and slate stone. The flexible appeal of this lamp is that it could be used in an office or a living room because of its sculptural qualities.
