Description
Cover and layout for the first issue of Juhood, an academic Journal on Middle Eastern affairs. The journal name means "strive with the greatest of effort," a concept I represented on the cover using typography and imagery. Notes are visually associated with the text to encourage close reading. Goudy Old Style and Rotis Semi Serif were used, the first for its calligraphic qualities (in keeping with the Middle Eastern motifs) and the latter for its contrasting qualities.
