Description
In April 2011, Shedd opened Jellies – a special exhibit featuring sea jellies, extraordinary creatures that have survived for millions of years with no bones, no brains and no blood. In this exhibit, guests are invited to discover the intriguing ways in which these mysterious creatures thrive in the world’s oceans.

To support the idea of drift and flow, floor to ceiling wall graphics and projections work to extend the space and eliminate any hard edges. A rich, saturated color palette blends from one hue to the next creating a seamless, immersive experience. Drifting jellies seem to glow in luminescent windows, and changing colors of light softly accentuate the experience. Throughout the space, a changing soundscape and designed lighting environment enhances the design.
