IKEA - Rebranding

For this project we were given a small list of companies and were told to choose one to rebrand. Among the companies were OXO, Dyson and IKEA. My choice was IKEA. We were given a week to come up with several rough logos and then chose which was the strongest. I based most of my ideas around different pieces of furniture and houses. My final logo doubles as a corner of a room and also the peak of roof.
