Poster was created for a class project. We had the opportunity to choose between three different plays, I chose II Trovatore. The storyline of the play was intriguing to me and during once scene, the image of the gypsy burning at the stake was imprinted in my mind. I felt that it would be the best concept for the poster because the visual movement of the flames and the subject matter.
The linolium cut was created after I had made the poster for my Graphic Design class. I felt that it would be a great subject matter for my assignment in my Intro to Printmaking class.
