An exercise in... beer?
I had been wanting to try out an interesting jQuery plugin I had found called Isotope and I found a means to do that through one of my hobbies; brewing beer. I had been looking for a chart that could give me hop substitution
suggestions and this was the first result of that, as it were.
Turns out Isotope is a very flexible and powerful plugin. It's also a little splashy, and can run kinda slow on older computers. I also used a few small CSS3 features: border-radius, RGBA and transition. I wanted to have a simple font, but I still wanted it to have character and more than one weight, so I used Open Sans from Google Webfonts for most of the headings and body copy.
Next up on the list: additional sorting options and improved data.
