- Delving into the pastA typographic study in history
- "Historical ConText" is the study of typography in history. By pairing a typeface with a literary work of the time is was designed, the voice of the type starts to become clear. Done in the ASU Letterpress shop, I handset and hand printed each of these broad sides.
Edna St. Vincent Millay paired with Cooper, Cooper Black's more elegant predecessor. Hand typeset, single run.
Berthold Brecht paired with Kabel. Hand typeset, two runs.
Allen Ginsburg paired with Optima. Digitally typeset, printed with a polymer plate. Single run.
