Hemp is a remarkably useful but very misunderstood and maligned plant.
For this challenge I created a 24’x30’ poster to help inform people
about the history of hemp, the types of products produced from hemp, and
the various parts of the plant. I also created a supporting Z Fold
brochure and website that provides the reader with the opportunity to
find further information about the topic. I used the shape of the hemp
plant as the main graphic to catch the attention of people passing by
because it looks exactly like a cannabis plant. The plant also serves as
all three of the graphic models that display data and facts. The
includes two other visually striking graphic models that inform
my audience about the benefits of hemp. The website offers additional
information about why hemp is illegal in the United States. I used a
natural color palette to generate an organic, natural feel. The typeface
Serifa serves as the projects titles, while the support body copy is
set in Futura.
