The following is branding for an upstart retail bakery in Jackson, TN called "HaliHannigan's Cupcakery." In the creative brief, the client specified that she wanted three cupcakes in the logo to represent her three daughters, a script font, and a bright and "trendy" color scheme.
I approached the three cupcakes in abstract shapes rather than more simple and basic cupcake illustrations, mixing the olive/pink color scheme to create a different feel of the same shapes once illustrated. Then, I hand-drew the HaliHannigan's font and retraced it in Illustrator - making only slight changes digitally to the letters "H" and "g."
Finally, the last series of photos are from HaliHannigan's launch party and demonstrates how the branding [logo, colors, style] has been incorporated into the store's design.
And finally, the cupcakes are delicious. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by.
NOTE: The "H"s and "g" were corrected from the original sketch in Illustrator.
